1.2.4 MOOC Organic farming

A self-study course on organic farming through a MOOC (Massive Open Online
Course) for a Bachelor of Education (BEd) program is designed to provide future educators
with the knowledge and skills needed to understand and teach organic farming practices.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
          Understand the fundamental principles and practices of organic farming.
          Implement organic farming techniques in soil management, crop production,and livestock care.
          Recognize the environmental benefits and sustainability of organic farming
          Navigate the certification process and market organic products effectively.
          Educate others about organic farming using effective teaching strategies.
MOOC Course on Organic Farming will be offered to all students doing UG
Programmes in the Affiliated Colleges of Mahatma Gandhi University as added credit course.
The course is structured in accordance with the regulations of UGC for Online courses. The
course will spread across first and second semester of the UG Programme. The Course has 14
Modules including 2 Projects. The 4 credits of this course will be given in addition to the
Total credits of UG Programmes existing now.
